Military engineering & organizational leadership

Marshall retired from the United States Navy after more than 12 years of service, attaining Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8) in 10 years. He began as a hands-on engineering technician before advancing into senior technical and organizational leadership.

Aboard USS McCampbell (DDG-85) — an approximately $1 billion guided-missile destroyer — he served as the ship’s most senior enlisted engineering leader, known as the Top Snipe, with responsibility for a 137-person engineering department. His responsibilities spanned gas turbine propulsion, electrical generation and distribution, water and compressed air systems, fuel and lubricating oil systems, auxiliary machinery, damage control, and engineering casualty response.

Readiness depended on coordinated maintenance, personnel qualification, technical training, equipment reliability, resource planning, and operational risk management. He also served as acting senior enlisted leader for a crew exceeding 400 personnel, supporting personnel welfare, discipline, readiness, and command performance. His military education included coursework through Surface Warfare Officers School and Engineering Control Systems Equipment School.

Marshall’s decorations include two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals — one recognizing his actions during a major shipboard fire aboard USS Hue City (CG-66) — and three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, including one for leading NRD Houston to Station of the Year while serving out of rate as Recruiting Manager. This experience established a leadership foundation grounded in accountability, technical discipline, risk management, and capable teams.

02

Enterprise sales & strategic commercial leadership

Following his military career, Marshall transitioned into complex enterprise sales within Fortune 500 business environments. He has generated multimillion-dollar career sales and has led strategic account development and complex commercial initiatives involving major organizations and executive stakeholders, with responsibilities spanning national accounts, technical solutions, and multimillion-dollar programs.

His work involves identifying strategic customer requirements, coordinating technical and commercial resources, negotiating commercial terms, and advancing long-cycle opportunities through multistakeholder decisions. He engages executive leadership, engineering, procurement, finance, facilities, project teams, and delivery partners to align technical requirements, operational risks, contract structures, and business priorities.

This commercial perspective is central to MIH’s intended value-creation strategy: complement established operational expertise with stronger sales infrastructure, strategic account expansion, partnerships, customer acquisition, and disciplined commercial execution. Growth objectives are assessed against the business’s delivery capacity and economics, not assumed as guaranteed outcomes.

03

Mergers & acquisitions advisory experience

Marshall’s M&A experience includes supporting Northward Partners, a full-service mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, with business development, capital-raising initiatives, and acquisition due diligence.

That work provided exposure to how owners, advisors, and investors consider business valuations, financial and operating performance, capital formation, and ownership transitions. It complements his engineering and enterprise sales background in developing MIH’s independent sponsor approach. This advisory experience is not presented as personal execution of completed acquisitions or as an investment banking credential.

04

Whitman MBA studies & Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition

Marshall completed his undergraduate degree at Post University while serving on active duty and received recognition on the university’s Spring 2023 Provost’s List. He subsequently pursued graduate MBA studies at Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management, with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He remains described as an MBA candidate, anticipated December 2026; degree conferral has not been verified.

His Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) residency at Syracuse University is strategically relevant to MIH’s independent sponsor model. ETA centers on identifying, evaluating, acquiring, operating, and growing established businesses — connecting the investment decision with the practical responsibilities of ownership and leadership.

The residency complements Marshall’s technical, commercial, and advisory experience by informing acquisition sourcing, business evaluation, ownership-transition planning, and stewardship alongside experienced operating executives. His graduate studies contribute perspectives on strategy, entrepreneurship, organizational leadership, marketing, and financial decision-making. ETA is a residency experience, not a separate degree, certification, or evidence of a completed acquisition.

05

Entrepreneurship & distinct business platforms

Marshall serves as President of Marshall Investment Holdings and Marshall Solutions Group. MSG focuses on strategy, operations, organizational leadership, program execution, and implementation support. Through MIH, he is developing an independent sponsor platform focused on acquiring established businesses, partnering with experienced operating executives, and creating long-term enterprise value through disciplined ownership and commercial growth.

The platforms have separate purposes. MSG is not presented as an MIH portfolio company, and no formal investment or management agreement between the entities is implied.

06

Investment philosophy & professional operating leadership

Preserve the Foundation. Strengthen the Business. Build Long-Term Value. Marshall’s intended approach begins with understanding the customer relationships, technical capabilities, institutional knowledge, and operating leadership that make a business successful.

MIH seeks to evaluate durable cash flow and commercial potential, structure ownership transitions around seller objectives and transaction-specific capital, and preserve professional operating leadership. He expects to focus on corporate strategy, enterprise sales, partnerships, and commercial expansion. Experienced engineering and operating executives would lead technical delivery and daily operations, while qualified financial leadership would oversee reporting, forecasting, working capital, and controls.

These are intended transaction-specific responsibilities, not claims of an existing portfolio or staffed management team. Together, Navy leadership, enterprise sales, M&A advisory experience, Whitman MBA studies, and the Syracuse ETA residency inform a disciplined approach to sourcing, evaluating, transitioning, and growing established businesses.

07

Professional network & partnerships

Marshall’s professional relationships extend across business, professional athletics, military leadership, and entrepreneurial communities. These networks inform his perspective on performance, strategic partnerships, and long-term value creation.

He also serves as President of War Paint Collective, a nonprofit organization that uses evidence-informed arts programming to support mental health, workforce development, and community reintegration for military members, veterans, and their families.

For a prospective acquisition, those relationships support the work that follows a transaction: customer and channel introductions, leadership recruiting, supplier and partner conversations, and the disciplined commercial development that established businesses often need to reach their next stage. Relationships are described as professional networks only; no individual is characterized as an investor, advisor, or endorser of Marshall Investment Holdings.

08

Long-term vision

Marshall’s career has centered on the intersection of people, operations, strategy, and execution. Through MIH, he seeks to apply that experience alongside established management teams and transaction-specific capital partners to build enduring enterprise value.

His approach is straightforward: understand the business, preserve what makes it successful, strengthen its commercial capabilities, and build for long-term performance.
